Multifunction Infrared Calibrator Systems
SDL’s portable MICs integrate several optical functions into single,
cryogenically-cooled dewars, which are coupled to a sensor's front end. The
MICs provide steerable point sources and diffuse full-aperture illumination
with selectable wavelength and intensity to simulate actual on-orbit measurement
conditions. Computer sampling handles large data sets from complex sensor arrays.
The MIC chambers can be used at SDL or at customer-specified locations.
