Calibration Capabilities
SDL is internationally renowned for expertise in calibrating complex sensor
systems, setting sensor calibration and characterization standards, and disseminating
calibration information. SDL has calibrated both its own instrumentation and
instruments developed by MDA,
NASA, the US Air Force, and numerous private companies. Additionally, SDL has
hosted the Annual Conference on Characterization and Radiometric Calibration
for Remote Sensing for over 16 years.
SDL can perform calibration services at our state-of-the-art facilities in
Logan, UT or Bedford, MA, and off-site as required by customers. Parameters
SDL typically calibrates include:
- Dark offset
- Linearity
- Integration mode normalization
- Gain normalization
- Nonuniformity correction
- Responsivity trending
- Peak radiance responsivity
- Point response function
- Modulation transfer function
- Peak irradiance responsivity
- Distortion map for spatial position
- Scan mirror transfer function
