Ground Display Stations
SDL has designed and built a variety of ground display stations to provide rapid screening of digital tactical image data. SDL prides itself on the ability to design, build, test, document, deliver, and support high quality ground stations to meet the needs and desires of its customers. SDL’s ground stations are usually based on high quality commercial off‐the‐shelf (COTS) components to ensure a cost effective solution, not only for the initial development but also for future sustainment costs. SDL’s ground display stations have been used to support data from multiple sensor formats, including single‐ and multi‐band Electro‐Optical/Infrared (EO/IR), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) sensors, hyperspectral (HSI), and video data.

Sensor Interfaces and Digital Storage Devices
SDL has vast experience with unique and complex sensor interfaces and various digital storage devices (e.g., live data links (CDL), Solid State Recorders, STANAG 4575 interfaces, DCRsi recorders, LTO and AIT tapes, etc.). SDL is very familiar with the National Imagery Transmission Format (NITF 2.0 / 2.1) and is well suited to help ensure its customer’s image products are certifiable by the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC). SDL can offer its customers unique solutions for both data storage and dissemination to remote users based on its experience with both hardware and software compression algorithms such as HQVQ, JPEG, JPEG 2000, and JPEG XR.
Vantage software suite
The Vantage software suite was developed by SDL in support of various sensors such as ATARS, SHARP, and TARS and includes simultaneous support for multiple sensor types. Vantage screens and processes tactical imagery from a live data link, solid state recorder, DVD/CD, or hard disk. Image analysts using Vantage can receive, decompress, process, display, evaluate, and store imagery data as well as create/disseminate processed image products. The Vantage software suite includes Vantage Screener, Vantage Ascent, and Vantage SOAR.
