Weather Station
The Weather Station at the Bear Lake Observatory, which is owned and maintained
by USU and the State Climatology Department, is part of the GIFTS program. GIFTS will use new techniques
to gather water vapor, temperature, and cloud data. This information collected
will be compared with ground measurements made from the Observatory Weather
Station and other national and international locations. The data will be used
by the GIFTS Education and Public Outreach Program and implemented by six institutions
which will reach a broad audience of K-12 educators and students.
