Software Engineer hired at Space Dynamics Lab

Lance FifeThe Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is pleased to announce the hiring of Lance Fife as a Software Engineer. He is currently working on the Tactical Input Segment (TIS) Software Processing Element (SPE) program. He is responsible for validating the operational configuration of the SPE system hardware.

Fife previously worked for Scitor Corporation as a Software Engineer. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University (USU) with a minor in Spanish.

The SPE is a switched-fabric backplane, distributed processor system. It hosts the user interface to a Navy shipboard system, under development, for processing and screening imagery from tactical reconnaissance aircraft. The SPE is the latest effort by SDL that applies compression and visualization experience to meet the needs of the US Navy.
