New Technical Liaison
hired for SDL's Washington DC office
The Washington DC office
of the Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is pleased to announce the hiring of
James C. Fraser, PhD as Technical Liaison between SDL and various Department
of Defense agencies in the areas of remote sensing, infrared and radar instrumentation,
and multi-sensor data fusion. He will also provide technical and analytical
support.
Fraser comes to SDL
from Vanguard Research, Inc. were he served as Chief Engineer. He has over
30 years of science and technology experience in academia, industry and government,
and is internationally recognized for his contributions to infrared and microwave
technology. He was formerly Assistant Director of the Strategic Technology
Office of the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA).
Fraser earned his BA,
MS and PhD in Physics at UCLA. He has published over 40 papers and articles
and is preparing a book for publication in 2002.
SDL, a not-for-profit
corporation and unit of the USU Research Foundation, has offices in Logan,
UT; Bedford, MA; and Washington, DC. Core competencies include infrared and
hyperspectral sensor development, sensor calibration, data compression and
processing, and cryogenic systems.
