University Affiliated Research Center (UARC)

SDL’s UARC status enables any Government agency to quickly issue SDL a sole-source contract for work that falls within the following mission areas:

  1. Performing engineering and development work related to state-of-the-art, proof-of-concept, sensor systems for ground-based and air-, rocket-, and space-borne platforms
  2. Performing sensor experiment data collection and analysis
  3. Investigating new sensor systems and participating in the early stages of future MDA space sensor technology
  4. Transitioning scientific data and technology to Government and non-Government agencies

In order to accomplish the efforts required, activities may also include sensor system research, development, engineering, prototype fabrication, testing, calibration, and data dissemination, as well as management activities including international cooperation and technical advisory support.

Target IR Signatures

Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Targeting Systems Development (NAVAIR IDIQ)

The Weapons Engagement Office (WEO) in the Systems Engineering Department of the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), supports Department of Defense (DoD) Agencies and Programs by providing technical assistance and systems engineering in the design, development, testing, and fielding of future Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Targeting (SR&T) systems.

SDL supports in individual task order to accomplish research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E) of sensor related image collection and processing systems for target tracking and identification, mission planning, and delivery of precision guided weapons.
