University Affiliated Research Center (UARC)

SDL’s UARC status enables any Government agency to quickly issue SDL a sole-source contract for work that falls within the following mission areas:

  1. Performing engineering and development work related to state-of-the-art, proof-of-concept, sensor systems for ground-based and air-, rocket-, and space-borne platforms
  2. Performing sensor experiment data collection and analysis
  3. Investigating new sensor systems and participating in the early stages of future MDA space sensor technology
  4. Transitioning scientific data and technology to Government and non-Government agencies

In order to accomplish the efforts required, activities may also include sensor system research, development, engineering, prototype fabrication, testing, calibration, and data dissemination, as well as management activities including international cooperation and technical advisory support.

The CLARREO Integrated Product Team (IPT) IDIQ is a contracting vehicle that funding agencies can use for instrument systems expertise and for accessing SDL’s capabilities for conducting measurements in the infrared spectrum.

Global Enterprise Engineering Knowledge Services (GEEKS)

The C2ISR Division sustains, deploys and modernizes world-wide ground and air systems capable of tasking, receiving, processing, exploiting, correlating, and disseminating intelligence information in support of national security interest programs.

SDL supports the acquisition and logistics engineering services for C2ISR programs in the WR-ALC/GRC enterprise portfolio. Performance requirements will be issued through individual task orders which will include:

Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Targeting Systems Development (NAVAIR IDIQ)

The Weapons Engagement Office (WEO) in the Systems Engineering Department of the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), supports Department of Defense (DoD) Agencies and Programs by providing technical assistance and systems engineering in the design, development, testing, and fielding of future Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Targeting (SR&T) systems.

SDL supports in individual task order to accomplish research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E) of sensor related image collection and processing systems for target tracking and identification, mission planning, and delivery of precision guided weapons.

NRL – Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Systems (ISRS)

The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) carries out a variety of research, development, and application-oriented activities in the generation, propagation, detection, and use of radiation in the wavelength region between near-ultraviolet and far-infrared wavelengths.

SDL supports in the development of data exploitation software and advanced sensor processing technologies including digital cameras, processing, compression, and control, analog systems, power, communications, command and telemetry, radio frequency/optical sensor payloads and electromechanical systems/support.

Space Control Effects Modeling & Assessment (SCHEMA)

The Air Force Research Laboratory’s (AFRL’S) Directed Energy (DE) Directorate’s Satellite Assessment Center (SatAC) is the Air Force-chartered organization that evaluates directed energy effects on space systems, performs assessments of space system susceptibilities to directed energy sources, and develops tools to perform satellite and space systems technical analyses.

(AMA) TEAMS2 which provides support to the Langley Research Center (LaRC) for reserach and technology development in order to meet evolving NASA mission objectives as well as:
