Qualification Testing
SDL’s Nano-Satellite Operation Verification and Assessment (NOVA) test facility makes pre-launch testing possible. Its unique capabilities include:
- Mass properties testing
- Magnetic field generation
- Solar simulation
- Measurement of speed, jitter, and torque for small satellites that weigh less than 10 kilograms
Using the NOVA testing facility, the SDL team can perform environmental testing and component characterization and system level hardware in-the-loop testing. In addition, SDL can perform qualification testing to ensure that each component is functional, reliable, and working per its design.
